Gulf Shores State Park
This is my Mom and Dad's favorite fall haven. If your there in November or December, look up Dick and Joanne.
Located in the city of Gulf Shores on the Gulf coast of Alabama. This place is big with over 6,000 acres, campground, golf course, tennis, picnic pavilions, primitive cottages, bike paths and over two miles of sugar white sand beaches. Bring your kids here for a hike and nature program.
The 18 hole championship golf course is near Lake Shelby where you can satisfy all your water sports needs. Lake Shelby is a 900 acre freshwater lake where you can swim, ski, fish or just lounge on your boat. This is a great place to hang if the beach and salt water aren't your thing.

They have over twenty to choose from, some in the woods and some are located on the shores of Lake Shelby. You can choose from one room efficiency, two bedroom or three bedroom cabins. They sleep between 2 and six people. With the great bike paths, you can walk or ride your bike to from the cabins to anywhere in the park or to the Gulf.
